Mr. Gu graduated from Hebei University of Technology with a Bachelor of engineering degree in 1988. In 1998, he qualified as a lawyer and joined a foreign IP firm engaging in IP matters. Mr. Gu joined UNITALEN ATTORNEYS AT LAW in February 2003.

He also handled some influential cases, such as Gold Higer suing Wang Hai, Zhuqiang (pressure depressor) company’s Unfair competition case, patent invalidation and administrative litigation case of IRST SAMURAI, patent right case of Changsha Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology, trademark infringement case between Shanghai Shen Ji company and IBM, patent infringement case between Kohler Company and Hai De Fu company, patent invalidation case between Electrolux and Haier, patent infringement case between XinFei company and a Korean famous company, well-known trademark cases of Houdy, New Oriental and etc.

Mr. Gu was interviewed by many media organizations for IP cases, such as CCTV, BTV , Guangming Daily, China Intellectual Property News and etc. He also participated in writing “Trademarks and Patent Agents-Full Memoir of Chinese Lawyers Handling Cases”, “Intellectual Property Strategy and Practice” and etc.
